Hello Spiders, this is a set of links to topics that may soon be coherent. As of May 2008 there is also a news page about events through January 2009.

Notes on the Swickis

learn9

Learning with ISO 9000 although it is now mostly around Deming, especially the book 'The New Economics'. Main aim is to link to ideas about learning.

anti-performativity

A major block on developing theory about quality and learning is that many academics concerned with learning are not much interested in quality. This may relate to 'antiperformativity', a concern with abstract theory and critique.

itc

co-op structures attempt to both critique conventional ways of working and to engage through practice. The same topics could be searched on as 'anti-performativity' just as a check.

Web 2.0 / citizen journalism

This Swicki is by Susan Mernit and is mostly about Web 2.0. The link emphasises 'citizen journalism'. It is working fine so there is no point in starting a new one.

Ubiquity

This is about bandwidth and access. I started with print where actually bandwidth is no longer an issue. Citizen Journalism is already strong in Korea with OhmyNews where 'ubiquity' is often discussed.

animxtra

Forms of animation, video, and games have boosted demand for bandwidth. There has been a digital fringe for Animated Exeter for a few years known as Animex. Recently CGI and digital projection has resulted in a blur over all forms of film so something like 'animxtra' will follow.

wwwatford

Watford is an imagined destination for the printing industry, much like 'Cairo' for Microsoft fans. Both PDF and JDF will work as intended for page description and all other aspects of production.

This page links the various sites I work on including some blogs. Through Eurekster and Squidoo I will get some consistent feedback on how this fits together.

16page PDF version of Hello Spiders (453k) with selected text from other sites.

There are also 'lenses' at Squidoo with more aspects than just a search engine
Links to blogs
These links don't easily fit anywhere above. 'Deming' is a place as well as a person. Dan Froomkin writes about White House politics and also links with the world of blogs.
